Great food, hole in the wall place. Loved the overall service. Their Tom kha soup was very yummy. Green curry was spicy and tasty.

Just passing thru town and came across this wonderful Thai spot in downtown Frederick. I'm traveling and miss a home cooked meal. Sumittra Thai Cuisine is a family affair, I felt grandma was in the back making my dinner! Nothing but goodness to report, I had a great Thai Iced Tea as well as an order of Pad Thai with fresh shrimp. I loved the service and the cozy restaurant.

One of the best Thai restaurants in the DMV (expanded DMV!). Kind service and amazing, authentic, high-quality food and presentation. Don't miss it in beautiful downtown Frederick.

We definitely like Sumittra, having visited twice now. We came here yesterday afternoon after a trip to nearby Emporium Antiques. 4.49 stars, oh-so-close to five stars. Service both times has been warm, friendly and responsive. Mid-afternoon on a Sunday, the restaurant was not crowded. Along with an $8 glass of red wine, JP enjoyed the Woon Sen. He ordered this dish because he likes the stir-fried cellophane noodles, onions, mushroom, celery, carrot and egg in the dish. I ordered the Pad Thai, my go-to Thai dish. Pad Thai's signature flavor comes from tamarind sauce. Today I picked pork as my meat. Sumittra is very generous with the quantity of pork they add to the dish. It was delicious, except perhaps a bit on the sweet side (though acknowledging that sweetness is a major component of Thai cuisine).

What a perfect spot for people watching in Downtown Frederick! The food is tasty and comes out fast, drinks are great and servers are very friendly. I stuck with a couple appetizers and tried the passion fruit lemonade which was perfect for a light meal.

Great Thai cuisine. The food is amazing. The only problem is that they can get too busy most of the evening. Very wonderful place to enjoy Thai cuisine.

Well... Another luncheon visit to this great Thai restaurant in Frederick Maryland. It's just as good as the last few times we've eaten here. My wife loves the drunken noodles with pork, and I love the stirfry vegetables with cashew nuts and chicken. Not much more to say... Except that it's the best Thai food that I've ever ever eaten in this area.

I was there last Saturday with a party of 9 for lunch. Food was great and the place was packed but a nice friendly ambiance. Only issue was communication with the waitress. As a result of her not repeating the order back or checking if everyone got their food, we had two people without entrees for a long time. Other than that, good value, cute place, and most importantly, tasty thai food

I've dined at Sumittra Thai Cuisine several times and always enjoyed the food and the ambiance. My husband and I visited on New Year's Eve. When we called to make our reservation, we were instructed to arrive on time because they could only hold our table for 10 minutes. That was fair since it was a busy night. We arrived early and were seated quickly. Our waitress greeted us with water and a huge smile on her face. She really went out of her way to make us feel special. Our food was incredibly delicious! The Peking Duck Rolls were out of this world, and the Thai Fried Rice is a favorite. My husband ordered a Thai iced tea, which was sweet and creamy. Even though the restaurant had a steady stream of customers, it didn't seem overly crowded or loud. The dining area is small and could quickly become cramped, but that was not the case. After requesting takeout boxes for our food, our waitress came to the table and personally boxed up our food. She was delightful. Overall, I enjoyed my meal at Sumittra and can't wait to return.

BEST SERVICE EVER!!!! I've never been to a restaurant where they work so well together taking care of the tables equally. It made everything so much easier, removing plates right away, getting the check, no need to wait for one designated server to finally make their way to your table. The food - DELICIOUS!!! The coconut soup - get it. It's amazing! The tofu was delicious in the curry dish. I wish this place was in New York! What an adorable little place with clean bathrooms.
